I had a great weekend. Mum and Malcolm came down to stay with us and we were busy catching up and seeing all the new things Trev and I have done to the house.
On Saturday night Mum and I went to see Mamma Mia in Brisbane. It was excellent - laugh out loud and clap til your hands hurt type of good. I wasn't sure what to expect, im not really a big Abba fan but we had such a good time. We had dinner and a few drinks in South Bank beforehand, and then coffee and cake afterwards - mum loves food just as much as i do! The whole night was just great.
As some of you already know, Trev bought the tickets to the show for Valentines day. However he was then told he was going to be working in Sydney so would miss the show, which is when we offered the ticket to mum, and she was so excited. Sadly though it turned out that Trev's work trip was cancelled and he would be here for it. After a lot of phone calls with mum and trev both saying the other one should go, and a few moments of me thinking i was going by myself, it was agreed mum and i would go. So big thanks to Trev, you sure do put on a great date!!
The rest of the weekend was filled with more eating and visiting places, and of course enjoying our new outdoor entertaining area. A great weekend all round really.

ps Dave, in answer to your question, why blog? i like to blog so i can keep you all up to date with the little things going on in my life, and it helps make me feel connected to my friends even when i can't see them all the time.
pps my new workmates just wanted me to let you know that they are faaaaaaaaaaaabulous! well at least they make me laugh :)
