Queensland living....

well we arrived here safe and sound and have been busy unpacking and settling in. I guess it will take time to get used to living here and being away from pretty much everything i know. Trev's family have been great though and have been helping me adjust. I will also see my brother tonight for dinner, which strangely enough seems really normal but it has actually been a very long time since we've gone out to dinner together.

The dogs (C&C) have settled in completely and have made the yard their own. Cookies appears to be trying to take over as the dominant dog in our street and he is barking at every dog that passes by or makes a noise. Custard is just happy tagging a long behind him.

One thing i find quiet fascinating here is how big the shops are. I haven't really been out much but Trev's mum did take me to Bunnings a couple of days ago to get a few things. As we were going out the driveway Maureen was tossing up which Bunnings to go to and we decided on the one 5mins away, apparently the other was about 5 mins in the other direction. When we got there my jaw dropped, i couldn't believe how big this shop was and I assumed this was the main Bunnings of the area as it seemed to have just about every hardware and home renovation item ever needed. We got our things and left. The next day, Trev and I went for a short drive and came across the second Bunnings store. It was just as big!!! I couldn't believe it. I guess DIY is popular up here.

Anyway i had better go.....we went back to Bunnings this morning and I have some new towel racks to install.
